The interior of the hotel was in dire need of renovation. The carpets were dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The elevator was noisy and had a weird rusty smell, not the most pleasant experience. On top of that, the pool and hot tub were under repair during my stay, which was a bummer considering it was the beginning of summer. To add to the disappointment, the room had its fair share of issues. The toilet didn't flush properly, and the bathroom faucet didn't work at all - talk about inconvenient! I tried calling the front desk for help, but no one answered, leaving me to deal with the problems on my own. To make matters worse, I had noisy neighbors who kept me up until the wee hours of the morning, and the thin walls didn't help dampen the sound at all. my experience at La Quinta was lukewarm at best.

Breakfast had plenty of options but was crowded, especially at the waffle maker. the hotel felt neglected; the carpets were filthy and the room smelled musty. Had a bizarre situation with a dirty needle found in the nightstand, which was alarming. Staff interactions were mostly positive, especially a lovely woman at the front desk who went above and beyond. Housekeeping's rudeness was a low point, waking us early and causing discomfort. While some aspects stood out, cleanliness and upkeep seem to be major issues.

we stayed at la quinta and it was ok, nothing special. it was next door to cracker barrel and within a couple of blocks to multiple food establishments and within a couple of miles to the nearest hospital. the staff was friendly, the bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, everything worked. wifi worked well, breakfast was included and was ok. fair value for the money. the location and the price. the front desk girl nicole when we checked in was so helpful and attentive to our needs.

I chose this hotel for its pet-friendly policy, as I wanted to visit Dog Wood Park of Jacksonville. The staff's Here for You service made my stay even better, and the Free Bright Side Breakfast was a delightful touch.
